Promotions – Hunter Douglas
Challenge
Prompt women to start thinking about redecorating their home with new Hunter Douglas window fashions months before the holidays; generate greater dealer advertising and direct marketing at the local level.

Strategy
Create a strong promotional/emotional appeal through an integrated national advertising and promotional campaign that emphasizes a “gift-wrapped” holiday savings event with valuable rebate offers. Feature warm images of holiday festivities and dramatic product shots, backed with a rebate offer. Kick off program with print ads in fall issues of shelter and lifestyle magazines, reinforced by national TV spots, four radio spots for national and local use by retailers, a campaign of oversized color postcard mailers, b/w and color local ad slicks, press releases and in-store hang tags and poster.

Results
Enthusiastic response and participation by an exceptional number of local Hunter Douglas dealers. In successive years, the Holiday Programs created by Ritta have expanded local and regional advertising and promotional efforts, helped to build stronger brand recognition and increased year-end sales.
